Shoup Woodworks did a great job. I submitted my project, and promptly received a quote. After a few design changes and a revised quote, I submitted 50% payment. I received several photo updates with description during the build phase. Once completed, I submitted final payment, and received the shipment about a week later. The final product was finely crafted to my specifications, and looks fantastic. Communication was always clear and polite. Knowledgeable, professional, reasonably priced. I am glad I chose Shoup Woodworks as my first CustomMade builder. and give my highest recommendation!

How can we describe this cutting board - A Work of Art. Craftsmanship of the highest level, outstanding communication and business professionalism. This was a gift to my wife for here new kitchen. Colors match perfectly. She has had it over a week, but it is sooooo pretty, she wont use it. If she wants to keep as an Art piece, that is OK. Thank You Mr. Shoup.

I was matched with Michael Shoup through Marketplace, following my request for two bedside tables. Michael initially showed me a few examples of his work to get a sense of his style and quality of finished work. His style seemed polished and solid with a great balance between aesthetics and function, so I went with him for my project. The project flowed quite smoothly from the start. I sent him drawings, wood choice, and dimensions of the tables to get started. He appreciated the specifics, and provided a few considerations and thoughts as we worked through the final design. We communicated regularly until we finalized the end product, during which he also let me know his finishing process for the wood and timing. Upon starting the work, Michael let me know his progress and ETA of the pieces. Michael far exceeded the timing Marketplace had initially proposed to completion, and we received the two bedside tables very protectively wrapped. They are as well made and beautiful as I hoped. I will definitely work through Marketplace again, and already have another project for Michael being planned.

Very, very happy with the overall experience. Michael made suggestions to make the product better, i.e., adding juice rings and finger holds, and consistently updated me throughout the project. Great overall experience and will refer and use Michael again for future projects!

Michael was wonderful to work with and he made exactly what I needed! He even brought it to Austin and installed it for us. We were so pleased with his service and workmanship that we will be asking him to do several more projects!

Michael did great work on our project and was a pleasure to work with. It was easy to get in contact with him to address design and logistical issues and the quality of the product has been great.

It was such a pleasure to work with Mr. Shoup. I sent him pictures of a nightstand from a bed & breakfast we had stayed at in Vermont. He was able to to replicate this exact piece to our preferred measurements to work with our bedroom. Mr. Shoup was very prompt and thorough with his updates while working on the nightstands. The are very high quality and Mr. Shoup is such a kind person to work with. He generously met me between Austin and Kerrville to give us the nightstands.

Project experience from start to finish was excellent.

Mike did a wonderful job with a custom design for a unique item. His communication was exceptional as I was involved from start to finish on decisions and consulted about my preferences. The finished product exceeded my expectations and he truly went the extra mile as he hand delivered the product (driving 4 hours each way). I would recommend Mike without reservation.
