The Least Of These - Writing Desk
The title of my piece, The Least of These was landed on because of the wood I selected to use. Scrub Oak is a 'weed' by most people's standards - certainly not 'The Mighty Oak'. But it's color and character are unsurpassed. Writing desk made with scrub oak, and OYSTERED veneered top. Winner of the Best of Show, Exhibitor's Choice and People's Choice award at the Cody High Style Show in the Buffalo Bill Museum, Cody, Wyoming.

Each piece of custom handcrafted furniture that I create is functional fine art made with the intent to last many lifetimes. Even after 30 years in woodworking, it is always challenging, with no end to the styles, shapes, designs and combinations of materials. In a disposable society like ours it is refreshing to make heirloom pieces of furniture with soul.
