A Small Storage (For Gloves And Hats) Bench For An Entryway.
Here's the original request we received: I would LOVE something unique just for my small space. It can be beautifully and artistically hand painted or interesting combinations of different colored wood. It must be beautiful as well as functional: a place to sit and take off your shoes AND able to store gloves, scarves, and hats (NOT shoes). I have BFA in design from Rhode Island School of Design and MFA in Woodworking and Furniture Design from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Woodworking and furniture making is my passion. I have been making furniture for almost 30 years. I pay extra cares to each piece I design and build. You will love it!!

Jun 7, 2017My cherry end table arrived yesterday, carefully packed to avoid any damage in shipment. My wife and I are thrilled with the table in every way possible! We've been taking turns sitting beside it, touching it all the time, I might add. Visually, its lines are very easy on the eye, and its proportions are perfect for the intended side-table use. Yes, I would DEFINITELY employ Katherine Park again; she's clearly a talented, artistic woodworker — also a good listener ;-)

Mar 5, 2016I’m new to custommade but not new to working with carpenters. My usual guys are more traditional and I wanted to do something with more of a modern edge – so I figured I’d test out custommade on a bedroom set that included a vanity, dresser and two nightstands. Katherine’s designs seemed great, and she had stellar reviews, but I was a little unsure of using someone I’ve never met or worked with before. Katherine explained her process, and I figured I’d give it a chance. I sent her my designs, and she revised them adding some amazing elements I would have never thought of. She was very clear on timeline and every detail during the process. She was always available whenever I had a question, and always had great ideas. The entire design/construction process almost seemed too easy – so wasn’t sure exactly what the furniture would look like. Everything got delivered yesterday, and the design and construction quality is way beyond what I expected. Every joint, seam, angle is perfectly sculpted. She lined up the wood grain between drawer faces. Katherine is less of a carpenter, and more of an artist. I don’t need any more work right now, but her furniture is so amazing, it makes me want to get back to work on something else just for fun.
