Mahogany Nightstand
I originally built this nightstand for my daughter. She wanted something with feminine lines and I used the curved legs to soften the rectangular shape of the piece. It is made of solid mahogany with poplar drawer sides and back. It is made with mortise and tenon construction. The back is ship-lapped and the drawers feature hand cut dovetails. I did not fill the grain since I was looking for a more casual finish, but the table is also available with filled grain for a glass-smooth surface.

I use only fine quality solid wood and employ hand carving, traditional joinery and extensive use of hand tools to create my furniture. My pieces aren't inexpensive, but I have found that the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
