Jim Reedy Custom Woodworking
It is refreshing and deeply satisfying to purchase something that is made by a craftsman especially for you. A piece of furniture that can be passed down from one generation to another is special. Jim Reedy Custom Woodworking is a one-person shop that makes beautiful furniture in a variety of styles. I use only fine quality solid wood and employ hand carving, traditional joinery and extensive use of hand tools to create my furniture. My pieces aren't inexpensive, but I have found that the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Exceeded expectations. Jim did a great job and was responsive and communicative throughout. His customer service was impeccable and I'd surely use him again if the occasion arises.
Working with Jim has been a great experience. He is very pleasant, personable, and professional. He gave great care to details in making expert suggestions, along with communicating his progress. I would highly recommend him for custom made furniture and will use him for all of my furture projects!
Jim did a great job and fast! Look forward to working with him again.
Working with Jim was an absolute pleasure. We had him build a large mirror for our dining room and are thrilled with the results. A true professional, Jim worked with us through three iterations on the mirror molding and at least two iterations on the stain before we selected a final design. He kept us informed regarding progress from start to finish, and the final product is a testament to his expertise as a woodworker. Jim gets five stars across the board.
What a wonderful experience! I have been ordering custom items for many years and usually something is not right...........not this time! From the proposal, which was quick and priced right (and included a computer graphic) through keeping contact re: progress, up to delivery of a table which was exactly to my specifications. It was a pleasure dealing with Custom Made, and especially Jim Reedy, who reminds me of a 'Vermont craftsman and gentleman'. I have already recommended this site to friends.
