this is a White oak kitchen island face grain wood top with 4 matching floating shelves. the client was looking for a gray in color, weathered looking wood top, i made them many many samples and we finally found one that they loved. i began with a white pigmented 2k urethane, then applied a black glaze and then finally a very low sheen extremely durable top coat.

He had some of the most beautiful waterfall-figured bubinga lumber already in his shop, and we ended up using that. Mike is an expert when it comes to working with exotics, which is why I chose him. i wouldn't hesitate to use him again!
