Upholstered Arm Chair

Upholstered Arm Chair

This chair was designed to replace an antique that was valuable, but uncomfortable. Drawing on inspiration from the Portsmouth, NH furnituremakers of the 18th century, this chair is not only comfortable, but a focal point in a room dominated by museum-quality antiques. The double tapered Marlborough style reeded legs and arms combine with the deeply curved crest rail to make the chair both visually interesting and inviting to sit in. We feel proud to be included in some wonderful private collections throughout the East Coast. Made from Mahogany with ash as a secondary wood, with a hand rubbed shellac finish.
