This is a mission style custom, carved entry door made out of Butternut wood. The panels below the sidelights have birch trees and leaves carved in them. We chose the Butternut for this particular door because the rich chocolate brown color of the natural wood best matched the siding on the house. Huisman Concepts
I specialize in custom-built, one of a kind, hand carved doors, architectural woodwork and furniture. I have built many hand carved and hand crafted entry doors and shipped them far and wide. Some of these are fairly simple and some are quite elaborate.
I also have designed and built a few pieces of furniture for some of the homes that I have designed and built in my area, but these could also be shipped just about anywhere. I do some custom built-ins for homes close by, my radius for on-site work is about 50 miles.
I enjoy all types of fine woodworking, but particularly the woodcarving and would be happy to discuss carving for elements in the home, office, or commercial building beyond just doors. I could build mantels, tables, desks, stairs or stair parts that might incorporate some of my carving even in a very small way.
