Carved Entry Door,Bald Eagle In Forest On Black Walnut.
This is a 6' wide, carved entry door made of Black Walnut. The home that it resides on is nestled in a forest of tall Northern Minnesota Norway Pines and I was trying to capture that feel with this door. Bald Eagles are prevalent in that area so I added that as a small detail. The carving is extensive as it had to be on both sides of the glass as well as on all 3 door unit sections. This made for six total separate carved panels. It ended up being a beautiful eye catching entry door set off by the rich color of the natural Black Walnut wood. I specialize in custom-built, one of a kind, hand carved doors, architectural woodwork and furniture. I have built many hand carved and hand crafted entry doors and shipped them far and wide. Some of these are fairly simple and some are quite elaborate.
I also have designed and built a few pieces of furniture for some of the homes that I have designed and built in my area, but these could also be shipped just about anywhere. I do some custom built-ins for homes close by, my radius for on-site work is about 50 miles.
I enjoy all types of fine woodworking, but particularly the woodcarving and would be happy to discuss carving for elements in the home, office, or commercial building beyond just doors. I could build mantels, tables, desks, stairs or stair parts that might incorporate some of my carving even in a very small way.
