Whispering Pines On Butternut
8' high by 3' wide solid butternut door with a side lite panel and carved pine trees. The theme is "Whispering Pines". that is what I was told when beginning to design this custom carved entry door. The choice of wood was Butternut, because it most closely matched the tones of the other interior woodwork while in it's natural state with no staining. The pine trees carved into the solid butternut panel match the trees surrounding the home. Huisman Concepts
I specialize in custom-built, one of a kind, hand carved doors, architectural woodwork and furniture. I have built many hand carved and hand crafted entry doors and shipped them far and wide. Some of these are fairly simple and some are quite elaborate.
I also have designed and built a few pieces of furniture for some of the homes that I have designed and built in my area, but these could also be shipped just about anywhere. I do some custom built-ins for homes close by, my radius for on-site work is about 50 miles.
I enjoy all types of fine woodworking, but particularly the woodcarving and would be happy to discuss carving for elements in the home, office, or commercial building beyond just doors. I could build mantels, tables, desks, stairs or stair parts that might incorporate some of my carving even in a very small way.
