Wood tops inlaid with metal are one of our specialties . Shown left is a chemetal aluminium (ripple pattern), inlaid to a maple bull nose stained Cherry. Aluminum and ground steel inlays require an epoxy top coating. Epoxy gives a very deep, very high gloss which amplifies the character of the inlay, the epoxy has the durability and tensile strength needed for soft metal surfaces.
