Hand Carved Sculptures

$2,000

All our carved sculptures are "One of a Kind" pieces and vary in size and shape. Most are made from "Forest Reclaimed wood" such as Alligator Juniper, which can vary in age from 300 to over 1000 years old and only grows in the mountains of NM & AZ. We carve our pieces versus turning them on a lathe, making them more unique and natural. We first start with a chainsaw and then use grinders to shape the piece. This gives them a more natural unique one of a kind look to add to your collection. Prices vary depending on the size, shape, wood and inlay. The first piece "Twister" stood 5ft tall and 3ft wide and was made from a 1000+ year old Alligator Juniper tree. The second piece "Astaire" was 12" T and 14" diameter and was made from Alligator Juniper. The third "Holey Grail" was made from mesquite and is 32" T and 18" diameter. All the pierced holes were created in several steps. The fourth is "Tidal Wave" a Juniper Burl, was created from an approximately 1000 year old tree. Burls of that size are prized and hard to come by and are therefore very rare. It's size is 18"T with a diameter of 34". The fifth sculpture is "Sensantional Surprise" was carved from choke cherry w/ a bowtie inlayed into one of the cracks. It was approximately 18" T x 14"W x 6"D. The sixth piece "Kaleidoscope" was made from "Forest Reclaimed" Juniper. This was a very large log w/an approximate age of 500yrs and stood about 36"T with a diameter of 20" at the top. The last piece was gorgeous old growth walnut at 28"W x 12"T. Each piece is truly a one of a kind and can not be exactly duplicated. If there is a design you like, we will do our best to come as close as possible, but the size and shape will vary. We are a husband and wife team, residing in the beautiful mountains of Candy Kitchen NM where we create incredible chainsaw carved sculptures and vessels out of wood. Each is a one of a kind collectors addition. We like to work with woods such as "Forest Reclaimed" old growth Alligator Juniper that is local to our area. We also prefer woods such as mesquite and AZ Ironwood due to their beauty. All the sculptures we create are unique in design and not only show off Scott's' carving ability, but the beauty in the wood itself.

We take pride in all our creations and take those extra steps to assure that your heirloom piece will last for generations. Visit our website to see more unique pieces we've created or our blog for more up to date projects and construction photos.
