Quandary
"Quandary" stands 6ft tall and was carved from an approximately 1000lb Mesquite log. The chainsaw was used to start the design, creating the large wavy openings and to tunnel through the center of the piece. Then grinders were used to finish up the design and smooth it out.

We are a husband and wife team, residing in the beautiful mountains of Candy Kitchen NM where we create incredible chainsaw carved sculptures and vessels out of wood. Each is a one of a kind collectors addition. We like to work with woods such as "Forest Reclaimed" old growth Alligator Juniper that is local to our area. We also prefer woods such as mesquite and AZ Ironwood due to their beauty. All the sculptures we create are unique in design and not only show off Scott's' carving ability, but the beauty in the wood itself.
