Box Elder Burl Carved Vessels
All these carved pieces were carved from Box Elder Burl. A chainsaw was first carved to start the design, starting the waves, folds, tunnels and other unique designs. Then grinders were used to finish up the design. No two are alike, making them highly desired collectors pieces for the home or office. We are a husband and wife team, residing in the beautiful mountains of Candy Kitchen NM where we create incredible chainsaw carved sculptures and vessels out of wood. Each is a one of a kind collectors addition. We like to work with woods such as "Forest Reclaimed" old growth Alligator Juniper that is local to our area. We also prefer woods such as mesquite and AZ Ironwood due to their beauty. All the sculptures we create are unique in design and not only show off Scott's' carving ability, but the beauty in the wood itself.
