Ornate Wood Backed Dovetail Saw
Not your traditional dovetail saw. This dovetail saw was n experiment that worked out very well. It has a hard maple back instead of steel, brass or bronze. It is made with 16 teeth per inch. It is 15" long overall with 10" of teeth and 2 3/8 depth of cut. The handle is black walnut. The dovetail saw is finished with steel pins in the back and steel saw bolts. This is custommade, so you can order yours made the way you want from the wood you want, carved ornately or plain. With a wood back, folded steel back or slit brass back. Great tool to show off your dovetail cutting skills. Laser engraving is available.

Jan 4, 2018I can say that of all the projects we have embarked on with other craftsman,this was probably the best experience we have ever had. The bench looks like the sample picture, the workmanship is impeccable, and it came in record time. I am a little sorry we didn’t ask him to carve a design into the top rail, but we didn’t know what to expect and didn’t want to potentially complicate matters. Bravo to Bearkat, beautiful done!
