Child's Themed Platform Bed
This Custommade customer requested a bed that fit a particular space in their daughter's bedroom. The catch was that they wanted the bed shorter and narrower than standard requiring a custom mattress as well. The bed was supposed to be themed for a "Princess" or "Cinderella" look so we came up with white slippers with the child's favorite color - PINK - for the bedframe and head/foot boards. The rest is history. We have a creation story posted for this project Bed constructed completely from solid poplar (except for plywood platform (not shown). Hardware re-inforced rails for platform, slippers interlock with frame and headboard/footboard to prevent disconnection between rails and headboard/footboard. All edges rounded for safety and comfort of the child. Gloss paint, premium grade.

For Thin Coffee Table4.3With very little direction from us, a few photos from websites we like and some dimensions, Tom was able to create exactly what we wanted. He was prompt with his initial and follow-up communications with us. He started with a simple sketch and some great questions that teased out exactly what we wanted. As the project came together, he sent us some great photos that kept us informed of his progress. It was shipped just about when he said it would be shipped and when it arrived, his attention to detail was obvious (even his shipping crate was well made). It is well finished, sturdy, and exactly what we were hoping for. We are recommending Tom to several of our friends and will probably use him again.

For Vinny's Dining Table4.2We are really happy with Tom's final piece and the service he provided and it was a pleasure to go through the Custom Made process with him. He was friendly and approachable, and we always felt were in safe hands. We had a table replicated from a provided visuals and specs and he was able to match it supremely well.
The only thing we can say was a 'very slight' let down was the final surface detail of our table. Although it does arguably add character, the middle board of our table has a a series of flecks which we were told after construction are due a natural occurrence in oak and the way it was cut. If there was time it may have been nice to have seen the look of the 'ray fleck' beforehand and get the choice to decide if we used the other side of the board or not.
However other than that we are supremely happy customers!
