The designs of the seat backs portray backyard birds of New England. The chairs shown represent winter and spring with a downy woodpecker, owl and robin. Summer is represented by a great blue heron, and fall by wild geese flying. The fabrics matching the seasons were created through collaboration with Jane Balshaw, a well known New Hampshire fabric designer. These dining chairs are for the 2009 NH Furniture Masters exhibition season and annual auction. For more on this go to our website
