50ft Relief Carved Wood Mural, 'Without Ado'
A relief carved mural at Monadnock Community Hospital. A corridor 50 feet long leads from the reception desk shown to the fitness center. Nine panels fill the corridor wall in a set of three, and three sets of two. Themes from nature help create a healing environment with a message about cessation from struggle. The title is from a passage in the Tao de Ching linking the harmony of nature with the art of healing 'The sage knows without traveling, sees without looking, and achieves without Ado.'
