Craftsman Block Frame
Here is a beautiful Craftsman/Mission style picture frame and tile frame. Each corner has square blocks using mortise and tenon joinery to attach the stiles and rails. To secure each corner block round dowels are used from the back only so they're not visible in the front.

All frames are handcrafted from scratch using mostly quarter sawn oak. Other woods are available such as Cherry, Black Walnut, Mahogany, Maple, Beech, and even some exotic woods. I Can make a frame just about any size you might need. Contact me with any questions.
I have now been making picture frames that give tribute to the Arts and Crafts Movement for ten years. My overall experience with woodworking is 40 plus years.

The tiles fit perfectly into the frame and the design of the back, will make it easy to install them (or remove them if need be) later.
