Tree Chest
This is a combination chest and bench which the clients requested for their entrance way to store shoes. The marquetry depicts a tree and is comprised solely of wood burl veneers including those of redwood, madrone, maple, walnut, laurel, imbuya, camphor, and oak on a background of gumwood.

I seek to make elegant furniture featuring charming marquetry and time-honored craftsmanship. I design and build for clients to suit their practical needs and aesthetic tastes. I have been a woodworker for over 30 years and a furniture maker for over 20. My training was formal and in traditional design and construction of 18th and 19th century styles.
