Bed Side Cabinet White Oak
His "night stand" made of locally harvested white oak from my own property. Very unusal color and figure for white oak but I am conviced that it was. This piece I dyed with an antque maple blend recipe provided by my client, then a wash coat of shellac, and then I used a black glaze overwhich I applied 5 coats of garnet (flakes) shellac. The pulls are handmade by me and the pegs are real ebony.

I only harvest trees downed from storm damage or being removed for construction purposes. I will have the log sawn and I will dry and mill the lumber myself. Native woods I like to work with most are Walnut, White and Red Oak, Cherry, Ash, Pecan, Hickory and Pine. I also have a source for west Texas Mesquite. I will build your furniture from the wood of your choosing be it domestic or exotic. Each peice is built by me and finished one at a time. Your furniture is the most important.
