Mahogany Bookshelves
I designed and built a set of Victorian bookshelves for this client. The fretwork on the central pilasters mirror the same pattern found on the corners of the existing desk. One of the full shelf cases pivots out when released by a hidden latch to provide access to a storage closet behind the shelves. All shelves are movable using the older method of adjustable wood battens rather than using more modern shelf pins.
