Great wood bowl turned from a very common tree use in landscaping. You probably have one in your yard. I find it a very beautiful wood. The bowl is turned from a half log, which gives it the saddle appearance at the top of the bowl. Natural edged bowls are turned "green" then dried over time. Once they are dry they are return, as the usually distort in drying, then finished. Depending on the size of the bowl it can take 2-14 months to produce this bowl. So be sure and check my web site under wood bowls and wood platters for more pictures and examples.

I'm a self taught woodworker/turner. The past few years my main focus has been in wood turning. I've sold thousands of pieces in every continent in the world, from simple dishes to elaborate hollow lidded vessels. In my work I have used many different types of domestic and exotic woods of which I have over a hundred different types in my shop.
Bryan was great. very easy to work with. He sent specs and a drawing work up of the project before he got started. I knew we were on the same page and the results exceeded my expectations. The craftsmanship he displays in his work is hard to find anymore. I will absolutely work with Bryan again in the future and I look forward to it.
Beautiful unique piece, arrived even before scheduled, thank you so much, I'll be back : ) Mimi
Nelson was awesome! My dogs love their new bed. Nelson's communication and skills go beyond what I ever imagined. Thank you for the bed. Nelson you really are "the bees ???? knees when working with the trees"!
I am happy with the finished project. Just what I expected. I would recommend and use Custom Made again in the future. Great concept!
Bryan was great to work with. He custom made a coin dish for me. I didn't think something so simple could look so nice. From inception of the project to delivery was less than a week. Bryan kept me informed along the way with pictures of the project. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Bryan again.
