Wine Barrel Table

$185

Warm and Inviting! Lovingly Reclaimed and Upcycled wine barrel end tables. Each wine barrel table stands roughly 23 inches tall, 21 inches deep and this particular style is cut to 16 inches wide. You can choose to order a table with uncut round barrel top at roughly 21 inches in diameter. Materials used: Beautiful aged oak finished in multiple coats of hand-rubbed oil to protect and preserve the warm, golden, well earned patina of fine aged oak. There is something that goes beyond "just another beautiful thing" when you know someone has poured themselves into it, reclaiming, redeeming and rebuilding with wood that permanently and proudly displays the scars and stains of its previous life. You can see the rich purple patina and sometimes still smell the entrancing red wine bouquet. Wine barrels naturally contain no chemicals or glues. As such, each barrel end is carefully and lovingly disassembled, cleaned, glued and permanently reassembled. Most surfaces are sanded by hand to remove only the crud and retain the beautiful patina. Every surface is re-worked to just the right touch, feel, and look.

"Let me build you a dream"

Fine woodworker for over 30 years.

Influenced early in life by the craftsmanship and resourcefulness of my Father, my Grandfather and a close neighbor-master-craftsman and access to many tools, it didn’t take long to be bitten by the woodworking bug. I’ve enjoyed challenges in many different aspects of woodworking including creative inlay, abrasive sculpturing, and woodturning, items big and small, working with woods literally from all parts of the world.

Have you ever found or experienced something/anything in life that just makes you say "that's so me!"? That is what wood does for me. I see a chunk of wood; I see what it can be. Others may see firewood. I see the intricate beauty, color, grain, smell, it's life story. I see it's endless possibilities and what it can be!

Hand in hand, I also love to re-use and re-purpose items into new life. Make use of instead of disposing of!!! Something doubly special happens when you take something with a story or history, save it from the landfill or dump, and re-purpose it. You honor the history, you honor who originally designed it, created it, what it was made for, and give it a whole new story with new life and purpose that adds to all that priceless history.

Some of the “strangest” items I’ve been asked to make include wooden guitar picks, some with inlaid designs. I’ve enjoyed the creativity and challenges found in the functional art form of high-end wooden pen turning; the complexity in custom segmented wooden pens of unlimited uniqueness. Some of my work has even been published in Pen World International. Other Entrepreneurial interests landed me a deal making marionettes for Knott’s Berry Farm toy store as early as middle school. One theme rings clear in all the varied challenges I’ve tackled – If you can dream it, I can make it!

Always open to chat if you have ideas, thoughts, questions etc. I'm personally very guilty of creating something "just because I can", so don't worry if you think your idea may not make the best of sense!

I'm a proud father of 5, Grandfather of 3, music aficionado, ballroom dancer, amateur guitarist, outdoors enthusiast, and the list goes on! Life is full and blessed.
