A sleek twist on a classic design, this table sets off a little more style in an otherwise very functional table design. The curves we've added really give a lot to the soothing factor of this table. It's handmade in Colorado, and we put a lot of effort into selecting the nicest wood, cleanest lines, and best finish. Every board is laid out and cut by hand with much care and a woodworker's attention to detail. This is a very nice table and will definitely catch the eye as something beautiful and unique. We sell this table in standard and high-end versions. The standard is "some assembly required" and reduces the shipping cost significantly. The high-end version is a classic style of construction, with angled mortises and hand-cut tenons. It is a very high quality table. Choose from various wood colors and sizes. We do custom sizes of all kinds. For certified "Green" options, we offer tables in urban salvaged hardwoods--trees cut in regular city tree maintenance. 96"x42" - $3,400 Seats up to 10. 84"x42" - $3,100 Seats up to 8. 72"x40" - $2,800 Seats up to 8. 60"x36" - $2,600 Seats up to 6. 60"x60" - $3,100 Seats up to 8. We were looking for a statement piece for the master that was unique using high quality wood for a mountain home, yet refined to work with the "mountain modern" design concept. It's absolutely beautiful and Austin was a pleasure to work with. I was so pleased he is working on other projects. Photos will come later once everything is completed.

For Flagship Table5.0I can personally recommend Austin Aaron of Dancing Grains Woodworks as a highly skilled craftsman with an impeccable sense of design. Recently my wife and I purchased a contemporary condominium in Boulder Colorado, and we wanted a “live edge” dining room table to add a Western mountain element to our furnishings. A mutual friend introduced us to Austin who immediately understood what we were after. He suggested that we go look at raw lumber together and recommended a source that he knew had recently harvested some 100 year old Walnut trees on a historic Boulder County property. We spent about two hours looking through the output of three trees before settling on three slabs (two for the top; one for the base) with beautiful figuring and coloration. Austin suggested that we join the top pieces end to end rather than in a traditional “book match” to enhance the shape and interest of the entire table. He then sketched a trestle base with beautiful curved legs in proportion to the substantial top, and he commenced the execution of the project. The result is shown in the accompanying photograph, taken after the table was carefully installed in our dining room. Having spent two days at Sam and Freda Maloof’s home in Alta Loma, California in the 1970’s when I picked up my rocking chair, I could tell that Austin’s joinery and finish work were superb. Most important, however, is the “line” of the table taken in its entirety and the balance between the base and the top; it is “gutsy” and substantial, but not overbuilt or “clunky” in any way. We have subsequently recommended him to two families who ordered similar tables and we have commissioned Austin to design a coffee table out of a slab of Myrtle that he located in Denver.
