Logan Bar Stool
Our sculpted bar stools receive rave reviews from patrons of the 5 Walnut Wine Bar in Asheville, NC, where you can try one out with your favorite glass of wine. We hand carve the seats deeply for an inviting look and long term comfort. The masterfully carved surface leaves a delightful texture that is not only beautiful, but also holds you comfortably in the seat. The frames are designed in the Windsor tradition and fitted with airtight joinery to ensure generations of service. Standard seat heights for bar stools are 30″ for 42″ bars and 24″ for 36″ counter tops. We can make custom wooden bar stools for any bar top in between 36″ and 42″. While this chair is clearly original, the inspiration for working with these lines and angles came from the work of George Nakashima. His angular bases used for his dining tables are a challenge to bring into a seating design without sacrificing comfort. It was with some trepidation that I took to making a chair with no curves, but I am amazed at the comfort these pieces offer in their angular masculinity. Production time is 3-5 months, and is subject to change with demand.
