The greenwood rocker springs from the same woodworking tradition as the greenwood side chair, using wood movement to insure durability for generations. An important element in this tradition is wood selection. Red maple for the legs and slats and hickory for the rungs ensures the longest life for your handmade chair. This rocker expresses a more rustic style, but the form and comfort are nearly identical to our classic rocker. As with all our ladderbacks, this custom seating is available with a seat of woven hickory bark or of shaker tape. A variety of finishes are available from milk paint to antique staining. The skill of the craftsman is seen and felt in a way that delights the eye, the hand, and even the heart. You can also relax in a Boggs Greenwood chair knowing you are supporting sustainability across the board(s). Production time is 3-5 months, and is subject to change with demand.

At Brian Boggs Chairmakers it is our passion to create beautiful furniture. Surrounded by beautiful and well-managed forests, we begin the creative process by selecting the right tree for your table or chair. Inspired by the forest itself we strive to create our work with a balance of sustainability, integrity, and art. Think of this as putting the tree back together so that in its second life its beauty and durability are honored. We do this to ensure that our clients receive the finest furniture our hands and hearts can produce. This is our way of celebrating life. We invite you to join us.
