Custom Library In Maple

This custom library was done for a physician in central New Jersey. (note the "visible man" in the lower left corner of the photo). We created hoods for the arched windows and a panel and fluted pilasters to frame the window on the room end. We furnished bookcases for any available wall space in the room and created paneled heater covers to conceal the hot water heating units. We coffered the ceiling and built a matching desk. The finish is a light stain on hard maple, with a hand-applied wiping glaze. We also furnished cabinetry and millwork for the adjacent den in the same wood and finish. This room included a built in bar cabinet, TV cabinet and home-stereo cabinet.
