Shaker Cherry Blanket Chest
Solid cherry blanket chest with inset drawer. Chest is constructed with variably spaced dovetail joints. Face of front drawer extracted from front of chest for exact match. Drawer and chest bottoms made from aromatic cedar to help protect stored clothing. The finish is hand rubbed natural oils with a final coat of oil and beeswax. This provides a rich low luster sheen which bring out the natural beauty of the domestic wild cherry wood.

Jun 24, 2016Mr. Barnes was very professional and is an outstanding carpenter. I had driven to his home about an hour and a half away to view some of his furniture. We then talked at length about what I wanted: the wood type, dimensions, design options. He periodically sent me pictures of the progressing table and it was completed in a very timely manner. The finished product was just beautiful and exactly what we discussed and exactly what I had wanted. He delivered my table to my house for no extra charge and put a final coat of wax on the top before he left with instructions on how to take care of it. He takes pride in his work and I highly recommend working with Mr. Barnes.
