Chatham Place, LTD. is a company my wife and I began in 1990. I currently specialize in individual furniture pieces, custom built-ins, vanities, mantel surrounds, and specialized trim installation. Custom cabinet design, construction, and installation also makes up a portion of my workload.
Work is done with various solid and veneered materials, including accent inlays. I have extensive experience in finishing with both paint and staining materials.
All of the furniture/custom cabinet projects I've done involve using many skills I've learned over the years in business. These include: design, solid wood and veneered construction techniques, inlay/marquetry, and finishing. My skill set has grown through experience, self-education, and attending over 25 formal woodworking classes (over 20 full week classes) taught by expert woodworkers from around the country.
I have no employees, so all work is done by me - quality to detail is easier to achieve in that way.
