This end table, in the mission style, was actually built around the stone top it has. The imported Italian marble was salvaged from another project and put to use in this project. Perfect as an accent piece or end table.

Hello my name is Rolf Hoppe and I own and operate a 12,500 sq ft. wood working facility located in Newark New Jersey. My business was started in 1964 by two German immigrants and I joined the business after graduating from Pratt Institute with a degree in architecture. Our shop has all the equipment necessary to complete any woodworking project you may have both large and small. We also provide a full range of services from design, utilizing cad software, to manufacture, delivery and installation. We are fully insured and are a licensed home improvement contractor in the State of New Jersey.
We strive to be a one stop shop and as such offer solutions to design needs which are not strictly wood working in nature. We have sources to meet all of your stone, metal and glass needs and also work closely with audio, video, home theater electronic experts.
Over the many years and never shying away from a challenge, we’ve amassed a wide range of completed projects some of which can be seen in our portfolio on Custom Made. Spanning commercial, to residential, to institutional and everywhere in between the one constant is you. We don’t make them for ourselves, we make them for you. Let us help you on your next project.
Thank You,
Rolf Hoppe

For Desk and credenzaThe completed desk and credenza was delivered yesterday and what an absolutely amazing piece of American workmanship. I would highly recommend Rolf and his team as a class act from beginning to end. Rolf was so proud of his work, as well he should be, that he delivered it, set it up, and polished it in my office before he left. I could tell it was hard for him to part with it. We decided that he could have the desk every other weekends and alternating holidays. “Rolf, It has been extremely enjoyable to watch the expression on the face of my employees over the last few days as they see this desk and credenza for the first time. Their mouths literally fall open in shock; it’s just that damn stunning. Have a great weekend." Going back to the beginning, I decided that my office (the president of the company’s office) needed to say more about the success of our company than the thirty year old décor that currently greeted our potential clients. You see our company was founded over a hundred years ago, and like many company’s going through yet another recession, we needed to find our niche or cease to exist. Find our niche is exactly what we did and we came back stronger than ever. I wanted something unique, and classy that would show our clients that we are winners and everyone wants to be on a winning team. Being a U.S. manufacturing company, I wanted my new furniture to be made in the United States. And so my search began and I looked for months at new furniture, and antique furniture and I just couldn’t find what I had envisioned. I then decided that perhaps I could find a craftsman to build a desk for me and so I went to see numerous local craftsman including a number of Amish craftsman what with being next door to Lancaster, Pa., all to no avail. Then in the beginning of August of 2012 out of frustration I keyed in “custom made furniture” and your site popped up. What a find! It was as easy as answering a few questions on your site, and posting a picture of what I had in mind and waiting for the proposals to roll in, and roll in they did. There were several to choose from with variable ideas and prices. It was a matter of looking over the proposals and determining which craftsman was best able to meet my requirements relative to cost and workmanship. I liked Rolf from our first conversation. He was so knowledgeable about his craft and could articulate with ease each step of the process. He talked to me about the use of veneers as compared to solid woods and he talked about the finish on the wood. He made suggestions that made the desk more ergonomically appealing. He had the right equipment in his shop to get the job done. Finally, on every occasion that I spoke to him he left me know that it was my desk and that he wanted me to be happy with the outcome.

For Custom High End Fashion Display CaseRJ Hoppe did a tremendous job on our display case. The detailing and finishing work were incredible! Given the specifics of the project they finished well before our due date, allowing time for any edits and adjustments. Rolf is very easy to work with we give him a thumbs up!

For Dressing Room IslandRJ Hoppe was wonderful to work with. He was open to all my ideas, respected my personal specifications and stuck to my budget. He is an exacting and precise craftsman. Furthermore, he was punctual for all appointments and was fastidious when installing the piece. We got along very well; I highly recommend this vendor. Upon completion, he placed an orchid on the island, which added a lovely touch to complete my room. Virginia S. Block

For TTo finish/salvage /duplicate two custom made desks and closets which were damaged by flood water from Hurricane Irene.Rolf Hoppe is an excellent cabinet maker. The desks we ordered were an exact duplicate of the custom made ones we had which were damaged by a flood from Hurricane Irene. He also took time to install them carefully and made sure that everything was in order. I recommend him highly. M. Bamberger.
