"Digging Up The Past" Pyrography (Wood Burning)
This wood burning was created on a 1/4" thick 16x20" baltic birch panel and is frame ready. It is sealed with several layers of polyurethane semi-gloss I took the photo of this raccoon while we were living in Washington state. This pyrography piece has been in several juried art shows and won multiple awards at the 2017 Desert Wood Carver's Show. My name is Valarie and I am a custom wood burning (Pyrography) artist behind the brand Drawing With Fire and YouTube creator of the same name. I have over 18 years experience in pyrography. I live in beautiful Flagstaff, Az and I am a multi-award winning artist who has done commissions for customers in the States and overseas; with many artwork pieces in private collections worldwide. I have also been featured in print.

My base price starts at $32 per linear inch with 1 subject and no color. This price includes pattern creation and sealant. I allow 2 major changes to the pattern free of charge. Any changes after this are $25 a change. Once I start burning no changes can be made. Wood burning is extremely hard to change.
I create custom wood burned wall hangings (all subjects), Animal Spirit Totem Plaques, portraits, and other custom subjects.
Each piece is carefully detailed and made by hand from beginning to the end with no two customer orders being exactly the same. Lasers are never used to burn or etch my pieces, all of of them are done by hand. Whether it is a quality wood burned wall hanging/panel or a portrait of that favorite relative or pet; each piece is made to reflect the love and care of the customer.
My main media (love) is Pyrography (wood burning). All artwork is original and I spend hours upon hours for each piece, ensuring the most detail possible. I have an eye for detail & color, which I work hard to ensure that all of those details are accurately expressed in my artwork.
My main wood is Baltic birch, basswood, and poplar; along with archival watercolor paper depending on size.
