Telephone Pole Lamp
Handmade in Oakland, California by Ajm Furniture
Wood, oxidized copper-plated brass, porcelain knobs, blued steel, found metal and enamel shade, cement, lamp parts. This lamp has small bulbs along the top that are turned on by touching one of the wires, and a larger light with a shade that swivels left and right, and is operated separately.

I make studio furniture and lamps in a woodshop in Oakland, CA. The majority of my work is made on speculation. I am inspired by nature, as well as my urban surroundings, and the simple drive to physically create objects. I employ many materials besides wood, such as, fiberglass, brass, copper, laminate, PVC, and sometimes even cement. My work is often painted, giving it a very contemporary look.
