Metamorphosis Jewelry Cabinet #!
Yellow Satinwood, Mahogany, fiberglass, Colorcore, brass, copper, lacquer. This is a wall hung cabinet inspired by the pupal stage of insects. The fiberglass shell protrudes from the rectangular cabinet door and houses the drawers inside the cabinet (i.e. the drawers are in the door). Inside the cabinet there are also earring racks and posts to store rings on.

I make studio furniture and lamps in a woodshop in Oakland, CA. The majority of my work is made on speculation. I am inspired by nature, as well as my urban surroundings, and the simple drive to physically create objects. I employ many materials besides wood, such as, fiberglass, brass, copper, laminate, PVC, and sometimes even cement. My work is often painted, giving it a very contemporary look.
