Custom Shadowbox/Coin Rack Display Case
This is a custom coin/rack display case on a turn table. This allows viewing or displaying of coins on either side or display in center to be viewed at different angles. Materials used were solid select and better Red Oak for main construction of piece. With a 1/4 laminated substrate for removable back. Solid oak base with 200 pound rated lazy susan bearing for rotation. Also completed with 1/8 inch thick standard strength glass for display area. Finish consists of Rich Washington Cherry Stain with 3 additional seal coats (vinal sealer, and Lacquer)all comercial grade long life finish products. This project is intended for display of coins and any object choosen to display in the center display area. The style choosen is of its own making as it is specific to the customers request, but could be put in the catagory of Contemporary with softened edges.

Tim was able to create exactly what I was picturing when I dreamed of this project and he even added (after proposing the ideas for approval first) a few extra pieces of flare that truly finished this piece off well. Tim was professional and provided nearly immediate feedback to questions and requests throughout the entire process. I most definitely would recommend this maker to anyone looking for a custom woodworking piece.

I had contacted other artisans but by the first few exchanges with Tim I felt like he was going to be the best choice. Not only was he very professional and timely with his responses but he has a depth of knowledge in what I needed so that he could ask excellent questions and guide me to help make decisions so that it would all work out the way we wanted. This project, a special set of knife handles to go on vintage knives, was not only something we wanted to do but had a special family significance too. Tim made everything easy for me and he made me feel at ease turning over this project to him. he is not only a talented craftsman but also was able to understand the significance of this project to me. The knife handles were beautiful and exactly what we wanted and Tim made this into a great experience. I would definitely like to collaborate with Tim again on future projects.
