Locking Multi Drawer Apothecary Style Jewelry Box
This is a multi drawer Locking Apothecary style Jewelry Box. This piece is designed from the ground up with the customers idea's put on paper then applied to the end product. The material used is solid Northern grown select and better Red Oak. Drawer sides and bottoms are a 3 B Baltic Birch. Actual Box is 1/2 inch Box Joints (Finger Joint) The drawer boxes are assembled using a special drawer box locking joint. It has solid Brass knife style hinges to allow full 180 degree opening of the doors. It also has brass knobs through out and is equiped with a small 1/2 micro cam lock. The drawers are red velvet lined through out. This intended use is for a jewelry box how ever can be used for a trinket box, knife collections, coins or anything you chose to keep in it. The style is Apothecary, but also has a contempory feel to it. This box has softened corners through out and has a comercial grade wiping stain along with a comercial grade Satin Lacquer finish.

This project, a special set of knife handles to go on vintage knives, was not only something we wanted to do but had a special family significance too. Tim made everything easy for me and he made me feel at ease turning over this project to him. he is not only a talented craftsman but also was able to understand the significance of this project to me. The knife handles were beautiful and exactly what we wanted and Tim made this into a great experience. I would definitely like to collaborate with Tim again on future projects.
