Cherry Slab Bench
This cherry slab bench was created from a tree felled by a storm. Its construction is influenced by Nakashima and Shaker furniture. Black walnut butterflies stabilize the naturally occurring crotch in the wood. Custom benches are available depending on material availability. Hand rubbed oil finish.

Pernt’s durable pieces are crafted using traditional techniques to create a modern esthetic that upholds the ideals of a profound love for the art of furniture making and an ethical commitment to reducing waste. We approach design and production with ecological sensibility by challenging the traditional use of lumber and materials. Wood that was once considered scrap is transformed into an heirloom for generations to enjoy.

Mar 22, 2018I cannot speak more highly about my experience dealing with Pernt (Chris) or the finished product. The daybed was made much more quickly than I expected and the product is sturdy and looks great! I added drawers underneath as I was about to begin the project, and Chris incorporated the idea in a seamless manner and the pricing was fair. If anyone is interested in having woodwork done - dont hesitate to use Pernt - they are professional and talented. A perfect combination.
