Pernt is committed to creating handmade furniture from recycled, repurposed, and sustainably harvested materials in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio. Christopher Beidel, our head designer and founder, is an architect by training and has had a passion for building since childhood.

Pernt’s durable pieces are crafted using traditional techniques to create a modern esthetic that upholds the ideals of a profound love for the art of furniture making and an ethical commitment to reducing waste. We approach design and production with ecological sensibility by challenging the traditional use of lumber and materials. Wood that was once considered scrap is transformed into an heirloom for generations to enjoy.
