Instead of using dictionary definitions of Intarsia, we would like to create our own.
Intarsia - the experience of merging Nature's beauty with human ingenuity; finding the perfect combination of woods to express an object or a moment in time; a three- dimensional perspective of the world using natural colored and varied woods; painting with wood.
Mike can create a custom Intarsia Keepsake/Jewelry Box, Pet Urn or Framed Intarsia Wall Hanging from any photo or picture. All of our patterns are hand drawn and all pieces are hand-crafted with pride using only the finest materials.

For Media Console5.0This is my second project with Mike and the results were just as good the second time around. Mike is professional, timely, and skilled. The media console was a challenging design especially when it came to the mechanics of the hinge systems. Knowing Mike is an excellent woodworker I was confident that he could take on the added challenge and he did not disappoint. For Knife block5.0Mike made a knife block for our kitchen. My wife and I are very pleased with the final product. It's not easy making a knife block to certain specifications but he did a great job.

For I brought an old piece of a church sanctuary that is handmade beautiful wood and is about 4 foot long and reads "Do This in Remembrance of Me" with a cross at each end. It needs some of the letters fixed and to be refinished.5.0Mike Mathieu is a very gifted craftsman. He is as creative as he is talented and one of the nicest people I have ever met as well. We were delighted with the piece that Mike did for us and have every intention of working with him again in the near future.
