Intarsia - the experience of merging Nature's beauty with human ingenuity; finding the perfect combination of woods to express an object or a moment in time; a three- dimensional perspective of the world using natural colored and varied woods; painting with wood.

Mike can create a custom Intarsia Keepsake/Jewelry Box, Pet Urn or Framed Intarsia Wall Hanging from any photo or picture. All of our patterns are hand drawn and all pieces are hand-crafted with pride using only the finest materials.

    I had a great experience working with Mike. He was helpful with planning the project too as I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. His suggestions made the piece great. He communicated well while he was working on the project with updates and pictures. The project was done on time and arrived when he said it would. The detail in the design is wonderful.     I asked Mike to build a custom jewelry box based on a few photos and a couple of sketches I made. Mike was a pleasure to work with. His expertise with different woods made it easy for us to select beautiful woods that fit my budget and the design character of the project. By the end of the project, I think Mike was enjoying it more than I was which is exactly what you want in a maker. Someone who loves what they do so much they want your project to be a success as much as you do. Thanks Mike and I look forward to our next project together.

    For I brought an old piece of a church sanctuary that is handmade beautiful wood and is about 4 foot long and reads "Do This in Remembrance of Me" with a cross at each end. It needs some of the letters fixed and to be refinished.

    A previous homeowner left a large hole in the granite countertops in our kitchen. I decided to fill it with a custom knife block from Woodworking Plus. Mike did a fantastic job from start to finish. It was easy to develop the custom design I needed in collaboration with him. I sent him photos of the knives and the hole in my counter along with a few dimensions. He created a drawing of the final product which I modified slightly. He then kept me informed of his progress with updates and photos. The final product looks better than I could have imagined with an outstanding finish. The block fits perfectly into the hole and the knives all fit like a glove. The project was a great value considering all the work that went into it.
