Reclaimed Chestnut Cabinet
We used reclaimed chestnut wood from an 1800's home in upstate Vermont. This material has great character and is very solid. This rustic cabinet features an adjustable interior shelf, dovetailed walnut and maple drawer, soft close drawer slides, mortise and tenon joinery, mountain laurel handles, and a reclaimed oak top. This piece is available for immediate sale.

The McAulay's blend a variety of styles into their work including Live Edge, Reclaimed Barn Wood, Adirondack, and Western decor.
Traditional woodworking techniques are used in their rustic furniture when ever possible such as mortise and tenon joinery, dovetail drawers, hand plane slabs, and hand rubbed natural finishes such as boiled linseed oils or the corn based poly whey products from Vermont Natural Coatings.
Selective harvesting methods allow for all portions of the raw material to be used, including the use of dried tree roots and birch bark veneers.
These rustic builders are members of The League of New Hampshire Craftsman and they are often commissioned by designers and home owners to build pieces for some of the finest rustic homes and lodges throughout North America.
