Kitchen Desk Alcove
Tucked into the corner of a kitchen, we've added a desk and decorative shelving. The stub wall on the right side houses a hidden compartment, just below the desk. This door conceals an amazing amount of storage, which is built into the 8" deep wall, between the studs. When the door is opened, two full extension drawers reveal cookbooks and recipe file storage. This is a fantastic way to conceal clutter, while keeping those items you use regularly close at hand.
