The black oak wood came from a 200 year old tree that was legendary in southeastern Wisconsin. The story goes, that a barnstorming pilot lost power and set his plane down in the canopy of this tree. I love wood with a story!

My friend's father just passed away, he was a hobby farmer and an avid skier, so I wanted a frame made of barnwood with mini skis to give to her. John transformed my vague idea into something more wonderful than I had imagined, my friend cried when she saw it. Pictures don't do justice to the frame. Great communication, he verified what I wanted and checked with me each step of the way. Received the picture frame way ahead of schedule. Amazing seller. Thank you so much!
