St. Mary's Ambo
This ambo, a podium from which scripture is read, was a design-only project for a St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis OR. The shape reflects the roughly hexagonal floor plan of this 1960s church, and the gently flaring baptismal font at the entrance to the worship space. The spacious top and shelves accommodate the large format books used, and a pull-out step helps shorter readers.
