Ann's Dresser
This dresser was inspired by a single massive plank of cherry from a tree harvested years after it had fallen in the forest. The plank was propped up vertically near my bench for days, eventually suggesting the idea of running the grain vertically on the drawer fronts--a whole lotta work! This small chest features absolutely 1st class construction, nowhere better shown than the butter smooth action of the drawers and the lovely cedar fragrance when you open them. These photos were taken before a small upper cabinet with doors was added.
