A disaster.

Mr Kopil is a good guy but quite inept professionally. I wanted a wood/metal bed and gave quite detailed specs up front. Never got a good sketch from him, never got pictures during the process (even though I asked for them). He was very inattentive to what I was asking for and did not seem to pay attention to the specifics. Bed was promised in 12-14 weeks and was done in week 20. Extremely poor communication throughout the process. The final product did not conform to specs -- some things were fixable, others not really.

This was a major fail. I am very disappointed and sad. $3K wasted. I have now gotten a couple of other opinions, and the bed essentially needs to be redone. I will probably end up selling this to recoup some of the money and order it anew from someone else. Horrible waste of time, effort and money.
I would have declined accepting the bed if only the site had not already charged me the full amount BEFORE delivery. So, word to the wise: do be careful when using this site.

We wanted a square coffee table with a stone top. After looking through too many furniture stores and online websites we came to the conclusion that there were none to be found.
We found Kevin through Custom Made and couldn't be happier. We live not too far from his shop, so we were able to pay him a visit to discuss what we wanted. He could not have been more helpful, suggesting different design elements and wood species. We settled on using Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) and adding a Wenge inlay. Frankly, before visiting with Kevin, we didn't know what Jatoba or Wenge was.
We could not be more pleased. Easy to work with and knowledgeable, Kevin is truly a craftsman.
If, in the future, we need any other custom-made pieces, Kevin will be our first call.

Very disappointed with the quality of the product. The samples of the finish he provided and I approved, was not the final finish of the vanity. The vanity finish is much darker than what I approved and wanted. The sinks I purchased do not fit in the vanity, although I provided the sink specs to him to ensure they fit. He offered to modify the tops drawers so the sinks would fit, but it was at my cost to ship them back. By far the most disappointing issue was the quality of the finish. The glazing was unevenly applied to the tops of the drawers. It looks terrible. His solution was to use a marker on those locations, which made it look worse. There is one area on the cabinet when you open the drawer up, that there is no finish at all. I have pictures of all the issues. I told Kevin I want to return the vanity and get my money back, and he told me that was not an option. This website required I pay the final balance before I saw the final product. So I am at a total loss. I do not recommend using Kevin's service again and it appears I have no recourse through this website.

I reached out to Kevin for a custom designed solid walnut desk with maple accents, and it was great working with him. Highly recommend reaching out over the phone, it's much easier than communicating via email at times. Kevin was kind enough to let me stop by his workshop and I was able to see my project at 80% completion and work out a few final details in person, which was absolutely great. That is the personal touch and interaction that makes getting a custom piece of furniture so special. The project was completed several weeks prior to his original estimate. Very happy with the final product, it is a beautiful piece that will last many lifetimes.
