Airplane Windshield Glass Coffee Table

This coffee table was made using an old airplane windshield. The customer was a retired airline pilot who had a windshield crack while flying. He saved the cracked windshield and years later had us make it into a coffee table. The angle of the windshield created a distinct shape to the piece. We sandwiched the windshield between two pieces of new glass, for protection. The thick wood frame and legs are painted poplar and give a substantial, sturdy feel to the table.
