I made this as a gift for my sister's 70th birthday. She wanted a simple yet distinctively different look. I think I nailed it, although a bit of that Asian influence crept into the design The woods are: Black and White Ebony, African Black Wood, Bloodwood and Maple The pull on the front drawer is made out of a Tagua nut, which comes from a palm tree and looks and feels just like Ivory. The top does come off and that tray along with the draw is lined with blace suede. The size is 7.5" x 5" x 6.5"

After years of being an art director for magazines and advertising agencies, my passion has evolved from beautiful print work to beautiful woodwork.
I have become a creator of "one-of-a-kind" Gallery Quality Jewelry Boxes that I believe are more akin to functional art than just a container to hold jewelry.
All my boxes are made using unique grained, imported wood along with brass or stainless steel details, all drawers or trays lined with leather or suede and occasionally, semi-precious gemstones.
Sometimes, hours are spending deciding which woods work together best. From the eyes of a perfectionist, my boxes do not work unless I feel the wood is the perfect choice.
I feel that the best results are achieved by the needs of what I want a specific boxes’ character or personality to be.
It's my belief that each box must reflect my enjoyment in its creation and that this same feeling has to be passed on the final owner.
