The Pruet Penny Box
This box was made for a presentation. The box will contain 30 pennies enclosed in clear capsules commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the ministry. The box is made of Australian Blackwood for the body, Wenge legs and frame for lid, Buckeye Burl re-sawn and bookmarked for the lid insert and the lid lift is a Tagua nut (from a Palm tree). Copper rods and strips have been added for contrast and to carry the penny theme onto the box.

After years of being an art director for magazines and advertising agencies, my passion has evolved from beautiful print work to beautiful woodwork.
I have become a creator of "one-of-a-kind" Gallery Quality Jewelry Boxes that I believe are more akin to functional art than just a container to hold jewelry.
All my boxes are made using unique grained, imported wood along with brass or stainless steel details, all drawers or trays lined with leather or suede and occasionally, semi-precious gemstones.
Sometimes, hours are spending deciding which woods work together best. From the eyes of a perfectionist, my boxes do not work unless I feel the wood is the perfect choice.
I feel that the best results are achieved by the needs of what I want a specific boxes’ character or personality to be.
It's my belief that each box must reflect my enjoyment in its creation and that this same feeling has to be passed on the final owner.

He was able to listen to what I wanted then was able to use his expertise to create a very striking memorial box for my dog's ashes. For Walnut And Cherry Beveled Valet Box5.0I was a bit hesitant doing this for the first time, especially since this was for a wedding present for my bride-to-be. I immediately knew Bruce was the right match for me - his introductory email was incredibly detailed and more importantly PASSIONATE. The process was so seamless and easy with Bruce. He was very responsive, very creating and always willing to accommodate any of my asks. He really loves what he does and you can see it in the finished work product.
