This one-of-a-kind shadow box art is the perfect gift for the person who has everything, the pet lover, the house lover, or to honor a special person and/or their achievement. A double portrait is such a special gift for an anniversary milestone for your favorite couple. Get your friends to chip in. It will knock them out! The scene is hand-sculpted in high-firing porcelain. The finished scene is affixed to a glazed ceramic frame that I have molded in my own form. It is wired to hang. Photos of your special person, pet, or house and environs are essential for a successful result. Prices start at $275 for a single pet portrait in simple scene. People portraits start at $400. A double portrait of a couple is $500. It is wired to hang on the wall. 8"x 8"x1.5"

Custom hand-sculpted portraits of people and/or pets in porcelain or white clay. They can be fully 3-dimensional figures or scenes in relief.
Working from your photos I can do realistic portraits of dogs, cats, or you. I make each piece by hand. Smaller figures are sculpted in high-fired porcelain, whereas larger pieces are sculpted in low-fired white clay. Each piece goes through 3 firings. All the colors are durable fired glazes (2380F) or overglazes (1300F) .
I welcome your inquiries.

I'm very happy with the final project and very impressed with Laua'a artistry. She is a professional, very customer oriented, and she takes pride in her work which was an indication to me, no need to worry. Of course I will work with Laura Wilenskt again and have already referred others to her!

This artist has been wonderful to work with. My project was a ceramic replica of my closest and dearest friend, my dog Jack. She did the entire piece from pictures! She was very careful to ask me questions along the way to make sure the likeness was right. I am just so impressed with this artist. I have a feeling her work will be priceless at some point in her career... the likeness of my Jack is already priceless to me. There are many great artists at Custommade, but Laura is exceptionally gifted. I just couldn't be happier with the entire process!
